I have a friend with a MKV Jetta who neglects his car. His dash resembles this one. He just called me and asked if I could pick him up at Midas because he's having them replace his brake pads.

me:"Why didn't you ask me? I know how to do that. A dead chimp could replace brakes."

him: "Well I wanted to get it done today."

me: "Wha?"

I'm excited to see the giant list of shit that needs to be done to his car. I don't know anyone who neglects their vehicle as much as him, and he was an F-15 mechanic in the Air Force. I think he has gone about 20k miles without an oil change at this point.

This sounds like my older brother. Boy the stories we have about him. He neglects his cars too. My Dad gave him a camaro. Old 80s type. Dad dropped a custom engine in it. Made like 350 HP. My brother being him never changed the oil. My dad gave him 25$ and said go get it changed. Know what he did? Didn't get the oil changed for the next 7 months. Boom blows engine. 2 yrs of hard work on that car down the drain. R.I.P screaming metal death trap...

20? Ha! I had a friend of mine who had a 1999 Tahoe that he took well over 40k without an oil change. Truck had 120,000 when he traded it in and STILL hadn't had an oil change. Drove like a champ. Don't know why. Or how.

What do all those lights mean? I know the "butt" symbol means either that your tire pressure is low or the stupid overpriced sensors have failed again, but I don't know what the other ones are telling me.
